Diversity among humans in a workplace include both the similarities and differences for each employee through their perspective, ethnical background, race, religion, and gender. As we continue to grow and evolve as a society, we are exposed to change, with intentions of growing the company and its employees. Through these changes, it becomes crucial for each employee to be compliant with their superiors and coworkers regardless of their differences so that they can succeed as a team. The magnitude of success is determined by attitudes, efforts, skills level, working as a team, and the acceptability of another’s ideas (Saxena, 2014). According to a report by The Network of Executive Women (NEW) in 2011, they found that success is linked to three things; customers feeling a better connection to a diverse brand, a diverse workforce bringing innovation, and gender diversity leading to higher revenue (Sweeny). In addition, a diverse pool of employees will reflect the maturity within the organization by promoting a positive reputation for the company (R, 2017). Another aspect that is often overlooked is that by becoming a more diverse company, it allows them to broaden their search for potential employees. This allows them to look through more applications so that they can hire the best in the industry, ensuring a higher chance of success within the company (R, 2017). For example, a candidate who is bilingual could be beneficial as they would be diverse in that way through conversing with customers of a different language. This trait would add value to the company and its success through increasing their clientele and sales. In addition, a Gallup Poll has proven that gender diversity brings innovation, along with higher success rates within a company and a 46 percent higher increase in comparable revenue
