He could tell that she was pissed, and he honestly had no idea why. So what if she broke a nail because he accidently kicked the ball at her, she dodged it, did she?! And so what if she fell into the mud later on, because of her dam seven inch high heels she wore that day, and then was covered in the dirty mud, ruining her outfit? She has plenty more of the same outfit, for God's sake, just a little lighter than the latter one! Oh, and who cares if her hair is a mess because she came outside and it was windy, how is it his fault? He can't control weather, ya know!

Alvin thought to stay out of her way for the past few days, thinking she would calm down, and it would then be a good idea to approach her, but no such thing happened. Actually, it seemed like she became even more pissed at him …show more content…

"What's ridiculous, sweetheart?" She put emphasis on the word 'sweetheart', her blue eyes daring him to retaliate back.

Alvin gulped. "Well-"

"Whoops, don't care," She replied carelessly, turning back around, and slipping the ear bud back into her ear, grinning in satisfaction when she heard her boyfriend groan loudly.

"What are we going to have for dinner then?" No response. "Britt, c'mon, talk to me!" He didn't notice that he sprouted the 'talk to me' part in Italian, and he didn't exactly care, because his girlfriend was still ignoring him, while sunbathing in the sunniest place they could find, on a very sunny day, wearing jewellery that he was highly allergic to, with a pair of earbuds in her ears.

"Idiot," She thought, pressing lowering her sound so she could hear what he's saying.

Desperate times, call for desperate measures. "My heart's a stereo, it beats for you so listen close, hear my thoughts in every note, oh oh! Make me your radio, turn me up when you feel low, this melody was meant for you, so sing along to my stereo. Tell me gir-"

    As probably the best courtroom dramas of the twentieth century, Inherit the Wind is based on the famous, Scopes Monkey Trial. The play was printed virtually thirty years afterward and takes original authority in varying the true-life elements of the court case. The central conflict of the play is based on the Scopes Monkey Trial itself. Several themes are presented throughout the play, for example when Brady argues for religious values while Drummond argues for natural values and freedom of thought. The definition of a theme is an implicit or recurrent idea. We also see a theme of man versus society, furthermore, Bertram Cates versus the small town of Hillsboro. A third theme is appearance versus reality, or the difference between outward pretext and the basic truth. There are also quite a few symbols all the way through the play. A symbol is something that represents something else by association, resemblance, or convention, especially a material object used to represent something invisible. A symbol can also be an image that has multiple interpretations. For instance in Inherit the Wind, the small town mentality concept is greatly represented. The widespread significance of the court case is symbolized by the radio broadcast during the trial. External beauty is also significant when it is symbolized by the means of the rocking horse we learn about from Drummond's childhood. During the decade of the Scopes Monkey Trial, the conflict of evolution and the bible has massive relevance to the municipal and philosophical surroundings.
