Why hunting animals for sport shouldn’t be banned.
Everyone likes national parks, wetlands and nature walk and camping tracks, they are peaceful resorts and are something to admire. However when people hear gunshots most hate it and hate the thought of animals being killed.
Now what if you had been told that all the money ‘D.O.C’ (Department of conservation) uses to maintain, support and conserve our natural wonders comes from hunting permits, and there is much more to it than just blankly killing animals.
The main topics are population, recreation and economy.
And I am all for this, I am a hunter myself and I am using my knowledge from my life experiences.

Population
The large populations are kept under control trough hunting and restriction laws.
The main aspects are population frequency’s and sizes, restrictions and control.
The number of wild animals in New Zealand is always around the same as previous years for each season, with the ducks being greatly reduced every May and bouncing back over the next year. Ducks can only be killed in duck shooting season, this is a law that restricts hunters from killing all the ducks. Some animals are listed as protected so they cannot be killed. There are restrictions on how many you can have per day, and some are harder to hunt than others.
This system we are using, hunting and restricting. Restricting to curtain months or curtain limits which allows animals numbers to stay low, however not low enough to make it hard for them. This system benefits us greatly allowing hunters to collect and stopping animal from causing certain problems for us.
It is crucial that we keep numbers down but not too low. Ducks, if not controlled become a hazard to all aircraft activity, duc...

Hunting is a life style hunting is also a way of how people live, they hunt and grow their food, it’s called living off the land, it’s a get away from the city’s and all civilisation
Some people chose to live off the land and be surrounded by nature, for some it’s a get away from the country life and city life, this is the bush life. Why not just live in the country? Some just like to be surrounded by nature and wildlife instead of neighbours and traffic.
Some people do this because they love nature, some as a getaway and some find it as their own way of living and income.
Hunting for profit is a big thing, it’s like killing two birds with one stone, doing what you love and making a profit for it. Some people just find hunting as an enjoyable recreational activity.
