There was a loud bang in the hallway and the whole class gasped when the teacher pulled out a handgun. When he entered the hallway it turns out that it was only people moving big and heavy furniture. So what if he would have pulled the trigger, problems like this would start showing up. People say that it would be a good idea to have guns at school but it would just cause more problems. The students could take or get to the gun if given the chance. I feel that students could also be more afraid of teachers if they were to have guns in the classroom. Teachers shouldn't have guns in class they could threaten students if pushed far enough, students could steal the gun and there are other alternatives.

Here are some other solutions to keep the children safe from intruders. There is a barricade called night lock lockdown and it goes on the door and if locked not much will make it through. It has been tested many times and successfully prevented many attacks. They say guns would be a much easier thing use against an intruder. I say if you use the barricade then it will stop them and the police would be able to arrest the attacker. It would stop the attacker from getting to the kids and the police could get the attacker before any harm is done. …show more content…

They say that having the gun in the classroom would make it safer. I say that it would cause more danger to the children if there were to be a gun in the classroom. One main problem would be how would the teachers keep the gun protected. It sounds pretty easy for the teacher to be able to watch the gun, but if the teacher went outside the classroom for something a student could be able to get to the gun. The student could take the gun and steal it and that is one of the problems that would occur. It would cause more problems and potentially more school shootings. Source from -
