The internet has become a positive and a negative aspect of our daily lives. The internet can be a valuable resource for us that can help us with research and/or creating new internet inventions. Despite the great benefit the internet has been offering, these resources are creating major issues for the government and for the people. How the internet users are utilizing the internet should be compelling on them and then on the people around them. The people around them may be affected by the outcomes that could possibly occur because if user is not using it in a proper manner it can harm other without being aware. Porn is sexual explicit pictures, videos, writings, magazines, or other content that have a purpose to induce the viewer sexually and to satisfy. The first amendment of the United States constitution protects porn viewers because an individual has the right to view what he or she desires and has the right to publish porn. The Youngstown v. DeLoreto case in 1969 distinguished pornography and art: “True art conveys a thought, a speculation, or a perception about the human condition. Pornography is the pictures of sex organs and their usage devoid of all other meaning-the personality having no place.” The government struggles to enforce pornography laws because they are unsure how to perceive the material without offending society and discouraging the first amendment, but the exception of obscene or child porn. Child pornography or obscene are not an exception to the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States because it furthers into nudity and children should not be victims of foolish behavior on the internet. Exposing oneself to porn can lead to major defective outcomes such as misconceptions, anxiety, depression, divorce, abusive thoughts, compulsive behavior or poor self-esteem. As new programs and software are currently being invented it is creating easier ways to have access to information and communicating, but it is also creating new internet crimes. How the internet will grow in the future determines the positive and negative outcomes that will grow along with them. Parminder Jeet Singh, author of, "From a Public Internet to the Internet Mall” acknowledges how companies are giving priority to certain providers by the arrangements established by internet companies and telecommunications. The author explains how this is creating “Internet Malls.” The term “Internet Malls” refers to the priority to providers with goods and services who are financially able to pay in large amounts or to be sustainable. The internet will be another participant of inequality because the internet will be more expensive and have poor quality to the people who are not able to meet the rules of the “Internet Malls”.
