Why do some Muslim women wear the veil, and some do not?
First of all I want to say about my research question. My research question-Why do some Muslim women wear the veil, and some do not?
And now if someone do not know the meaning of word veil I will tell you
A veil-is an article of closing or it is the cloth that looks like dress that hanging and is intended to cover some part of the head and face ,or an object of some significance.
I think that my question is interesting and very important because I think a lot of women believing Judaism, Christianity and Islam do not know should they wear the veil or not.
I have chose this question because I am interested in religious questions and because I do not know why do some Muslim women wear the veil, and some do not know it.
Next I want to try answer this question. I want to say that people, women choose their clothes by themselves , but there are some people who can not choose themselves. For example I was in Dubai in United Arab Emirates and there all women wear the veil (may be it is 90%). I do not know why they wear it, but I think that it can be the rule in this country and may be it transmitted from generation to generation and may be people who come there to live accustomed and women who wear veil becoming more and more like people before, like Adam and Eve. I think may be in countries like UAE if woman not wear the veil no one in her country will respect herself and her family inclusive. But there are some countries like our, where it is not necessary to wear the veil. Our country do not have the rule like “It is necessary to wear the veil”

There are a lot of version of why women wear the veil,but main reason it is because they belive God has made an a debt or a duty for women believing and this believing consists of wearing veil.In the Quran He tells that the believing of women and men to lower their stare,gaze and dress guardedly,reticently.God addresses women special ask where he asks not to show their adornment, except that it is visible,and draw thei hijabs or veil under their bodies.
Everybody, every girl, every woman wear veil in her personal reasons.
In my conclusion I want to say that it is not necessary to wear the veil.But in some families, countries it is necessary to wear it, if you will not wear it if all your family wear it will be disrespect to your parents, you and to people who know you.So in my opinion it is your choice wear it or no.Than you for attention!good luck!

For some women wearing a veil is not something that is forced on them but rather a choice of their own. Martha Nussbaum and Maysan Haydar are both authors that try to explain their reasoning that veiling isn't an oppressive tool used against women. Martha Nussbaum's article “Veiled Threats”, is a political and philosophical take on why banning the burqa is a violation of human rights. On the other hand Maysan Haydar’s article “Don’t Judge a Muslim Girl by Her Covering”, is a more humorous and personal take on why veiling shouldn't be as judged or stereotyped. Though Nussbaum and Haydar have equal goals this essay is being used to understand the main argument, claims and whether or not each article has any weaknesses.
She makes the case that Western feminists have radically misinterpreted the veil. For many Muslim women, the veil acts as a divide between the public and private. The veil may actually liberate women from “the intrusive, commodifying, basely sexualizing Western gaze”. The veil frees women from the oppressive hyper-sexualization of found in Western culture. In Joan Scott’s book The Politics of the Veil she argues that contemporary understandings of Muslims and their place in French society are rooted in a longer history of racism and colonialism that reaches back to the 19th century. The controversies of wearing a veil in France have root causes dating back to French colonial. Scott traces back through time to examine the initial history between these two nations. She addresses the causes through her themes of racism, individualism, secularism and sexuality in which she intertwines to give light on the veil controversies.
Do Muslim Women Really Need Saving by Lila Abu-Lughod describes Western feminist beliefs on Muslim women and their burqa/veil and how focusing on these misconceptions are doing far more harm than good. This causes Western feminists reduce the culture and beliefs of Muslim women down to a single piece of clothing. The burqa is a type of veil worn by Muslim women for a number of reasons such as proprietary and signaling their relationship with God. The burqa is often seen a symbol of suppression amongst the Western world and it was expected for women to throw it off in a show of independence once liberated from the Taliban. The saving of Muslim women is often used to justify the “War on Terrorism” as exemplified in Laura Bush 's 2001 speech. The belief that Muslim women needed saving existed before the “War on Terrorism” as seen when Marnia Lazreg wrote about a skit where two Afghan girls talked about the beauty of the free Christian France.
The creation and enforcement of the burqa comes from a combination of a misinterpretation of the Koran and influences from the Pushtun residents of the country. The Koran has a brief passage that describes that women should abide by decent codes of conduct and their bosoms and private parts should be veiled (Goodson). In Pushtun societies women have a lesser role and lead more sheltered lives, but they were still respected (Goodson). So women had a very restrictive dress code that included wearing veils that covered almost their entire body till the late 1950’s, but it should be noted that they were treated with a lot more respect and equality than during the Taliban regime (Schulz).
The hijab, while not always popular, has seem to be customary for most women to wear in the Islam world for good or for bad. Prior to the 21st century the hijab was not very popular and was looked as a rarity, but now most women adopted this clothing choice for a multitude of reasons. Many women choose to wear it because they feel god instructed women to wear it, to highlight modesty, to show faith in god, or to show Muslim identity. Several people judge Muslim's by their appearance because they assume they're a bad person. One’s body is very attractive to the opposite sex and thus it should not be revealed as if it has no value. One should look at a person’s beauty from the inside, the heart, not just from the outside. One should be liked and judged not by what they choose to wear, but by their personality. Hijab is a choice that some women or girls make for their own security, for more privacy, or because it makes them feel comfortable and confident about themselves. It should be a choice though, and as it is not proven to us that it is obligatory, countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Pakistan should remove their laws that insist every girl puts the veil on.

This is an example of how media can affect the general population. When the media only shows radicals and compares all Muslims to being terrorist or dangerous they are actually putting Muslim people at risk of being assaulted in public. Muslim woman in particular are more at risk for being assaulted as they are more identifiable. In the Islamic faith, Muslim women are required to dress modestly by God. In the Qur’an, God speaks directly to all Muslim women and says “...guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment (The Qur’an 24:31)”. Muslim women have to wear a hijab, or a head covering, when they are in public places and when they are around men who are not close relatives. In fact, countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar have a mandatory dress code enforced. Muslim women in these countries have to wear a hijab and an abaya, or a full-length, loose fitting garment on top of their clothes. Although God requires Muslim women to dress modestly and Saudi Arabia and Qatar have a dress code, it is entirely their choice on what they would like to wear.
