What i'm going to be talking about is the reasons juveniles are getting into trouble with the law. My first paragraph i am going to talk about peer pressure, then the second paragraph is going to be about all the crimes they do, my third paragraph is about the parenting these juvenile delinquents have, then my last paragraph will be about some of the reason they are having trouble with the law is because they get abused at their homes.
Peer pressure in adolescents or young adults is really high. It can cause bad decisions or it can also cause good decisions. Juvenile crime is one of the nation's serious problems. Concern about it is widely shared by federal, state, and local government officials and by the public. https://www.nap.edu/read/9747/chapter/3#17 (Nap.edu) Most of the crimes are theft, vandalism, alcohol offense, disorderly conduct, simple assault or battery, and drug offenses. Most children have a mischievous streak, but sometimes it goes too far and crosses the line into criminal behavior. The United States was not alone in seeing a dramatic increase in violent crime by juveniles in the 1980s and early 1990s. Many European countries and Canada experienced increases in their rates of violent crime, particularly among juveniles (Hagan and Foster, 2000; Pfeiffer, 1998). It is difficult to compare rates across countries, because legal definitions of crime vary from country to country.
