John Proctor and I “God is Dead!” This quote was said by John Proctor a character in The Crucible. John Proctor makes this statement to Gov. Danforth because John didn’t want his name nailed to the church. John Proctor was accused of witchcraft and is also an outcast that had a sinful affair with Abigail Williams. He also tried to save his wife from witchcraft by going to the court and testifying against Abigail Williams. John Proctor and I have a few personality traits that we share in common that we are both hard workers, independent, and sinners. The first trait that John Proctor and I share is that we are both hard workers and and the stuff we like to do done right. John is a extremely hard worker even on sundays when he’s not aloud to too. John was caught many times plowing his field when he should have gone to church and then rested afterword. I am also a hard worker because I am volunteer firefighter and I learned that when you join you have to put sweat and tears into it. Nothing comes easy as people think whenever it comes to rolling hose or just cleaning everything there has a certain way that it needs to be done. Than another reason that I am a hard worker is that if I see something that needs to be done I will get it done the right way the first time I’m asked. I have a fantastic mindset …show more content…

John Proctor is a very independent person since he lives far away from everyone. John doesn’t really live that close to the town and he is kind of an outcast when it comes to it too. I am also a independent person being that I like to work by myself. Whenever I work by myself I feel like I do a much better job working by myself than I would when I work with other people. Than if I could I also like able to do my own thing. I don’t like being told what to do I would much rather be asked if I could do something to help them instead. Therefore John and I are both independent
