Genetic Variation is what helps make one living thing different than the rest of the species. This is important because without genetic variation human kind and many other living things would all be wiped out in one try. Genetic Variation helps stop that from happening. It helps make each and every one us living things be different from the rest of the world. These differences occur in our DNA. We all get DNA from our parents which happens when your mother's egg and your father's sperm combine together making a baby or you. Another word for this is fertiliation nut before that happens meiosis occurs. Meiosis is a proces that for female makes egg and male makes sperm all to pass down their DNA. During the process of fertiliation things can get mixed up, such as variation can occur. Variation only occurs when mutations happens which is when there are changes that weren't suppose to happen in the DNA. Those changes have benefits but it can also have risks. It's these mistakes that help change people from looking the same although these canges can also risks giving you a disease that could kill you. The risks is a bit too much but the benefits are worth it. The benefits helps make us defferent to do things some can't. These changes helps us keep eachother alive and preparing the lttle ones for the worst.
