Courage is important in life because it helps people achieve long desired goals, overcome harsh situations, and help others who are in need. Without this powerful quality in human beings, many achievements made in the past would not have been possible. We need the inner strength to push ourselves to the limits to acquire what we think is impossible. With courage, we can push and strengthen ourselves and make it through tough times, and even make the situation better. Most important of all, courage is one of the main qualities which allow us to give a hand to those who are in need of aid, making humans better people and the world a better place to live. In difficult times in life, we can be feeling down and assume that nothing can be fixed. Certainly, there is a solution to every problem to our everyday lives. However, many of us struggle to become resilient and brave to fight these harsh times and either fix or get through typical everyday problems. For instance, many people many find it terrifying to go to work every day because of the amount of work to do or the people they must face. However, avoiding work is not advised as it makes matters worse since your work load will pile up and your colleagues will be disappointed of your absence. The best solution to overcome this problem is to pick yourself back on your feet and to find the courage to face the work and get it done. Like many things in life, solving or doing one step at a time will make things easier rather than avoiding your responsibilities and letting them piling up. We may sometimes find ourselves ineffective in helping someone out. Nonetheless, the person we choose to help out will appreciate it more than we will ever know. For example, a man reading on a chair sees an elderly senior about to drown in a public swimming pool. All the lifeguards are far away from the scenario, distracted on their cellphones. Unfortunately, this man is skittish in public and likes to avoid interaction of any sort. Yet, he quickly thinks of the importance of life over his fears, realizing that he must build up the courage within himself and do what is right. Courage is about the ability to do something that frightens you, in order to do what is morally right. With his courage, he is able to oppose his anxiety and save the old man from drowning. To his surprise, the old man is extremely thankful and everyone around who witnessed the situation congratulates
