Why I Want To Study APU

The first time I heard about APU is from my father. He studied for his doctoral degree in APU from spring 2010 until fall 2013. I am really proud of him that he could study abroad in one of the finest university in Japan. After he graduated from APU, he told me to continue my study APU as well.

The first though that came to my mind is that it is to far away and I am not really interested going to APU. But after I learn more about APU from my father, I change my mind. He said that by continuing my study in APU, I would have a better opportunity for getting a good job in the future.

There are also some reasons why I choose APU. The first reason is because APU is the only university in Japan that offers all undergraduate programs in two language English and Japanese. Therefore, there is no need to study Japanese before I enroll. I learned that, in APU, English speaking undergraduates study for their degree in English learn from international professors and lecturers, with classmate from around the world. APU is a perfect place to improve both my Japanese and English. I also can learn a new language at the same time. For students who do not speak English as their first language, like me, APU also offers classes in advanced English where they can learn how to improve their academic writing and debate skills. …show more content…

Moreover, the APU Japanese faculty members also come with various international carrier and academic backgrounds. Hence, this extremely rich mixture of language and culture has earned APU the reputation of being Japan's 'global village'.
