Over the past ten years I have worked within the field of health and social care supporting people with Parkinson disease, dementia, as well as working with elderly people. Since 2014, I started working with young adults with disabilities this have been very challenging however, rewarding experience. My involvement of planning activities and care for these young adults have allowed me to reevaluate my perception of someone living with disabilities. This also gave me an insight of the daily challenges faced by these individuals, being in the position to be able to assist them in fulfilling life activities and to bring about change in their lives have been inspiring. Presently I am mature undergraduate my field of studies is health and social care during my three years at University I have developed academic skills that have enable to become effective communicator both verbally and written. Nonetheless, I still felt I lack the skills required for managerial roles. I also found that most employers or jobs roles will need leadership qualities effectiveness and assertiveness to demonstrate management or leadership within the organizations, this also requires individuals to take on responsibilities, caseloads and making decisions as well as managing others employers. This is an area that I am hoping to achieve within from the Graduate schemes and I solely believes that this schemes can offered this opportunity, skills training and development.
