Why I Want To Pursue A Business Degree

I am excited to enter the dynamic world of business as it is my desire to succeed in a diverse, innovative and challenging environment. I am eager to learn about financial and strategic management along with social and ethical behaviours within the field. My work history and A Level studies have led me to choose a pathway in business as I already have an insight into to how an organisation operates and I want to expand this knowledge and apply it in my future career choices.

My current A Level studies have been beneficial in developing vital knowledge and skills. For instance, in Philosophy and Ethics, I have refined my analytical skills by debating ethical issues such as utilitarianism. Studying IT has been essential in providing me with an understanding in how technological developments have advanced the business industry. For six months in 2016 I volunteered in a local Marie Curie charity shop, where I was able to expand both my team work and communication skills. This was a perfect opportunity to improve my people skills which will be valuable in my future career as I see myself working with people.
