Whatever it involves, working towards something that truly inspires you is worth all your energy and devotion. Having this mantra in mind is what motivates me to act as throughout my whole life acting has been an outlet for my creativity. This has allowed me to empty my heart and soul into characters, whilst allowing my instinctive emotion to form a believable character that is both entertaining and truthful. That for me is the dream. The dream where I can honestly say that I am proud of my own work and what I do contributes to the arts industry.
Choosing GCSE Drama was when I made the conscious decision of pursing the Performing Arts path. Although at the time I picked Drama because it was my favourite lesson, it gave me the fundamental knowledge I needed regarding acting and from this I was able to choose it as a career. Since then, I went on to study Drama and Theatre studies at A level. Being involved in things such as the National Citizen Service and volunteering with young people has allowed me to work with all types of people giving me further confidence and life experience that I can draw upon as I progress in my chosen field.
For the last six years I have been attending an acting workshop as improving my abilities is important to me. From when I started till this day it still gives me the same feeling as when I first joined: the feeling of excitement, interest and fulfilment. This is because I am able to act each week and be with people who share some of the same interests as me every session.
