Do people deserve justice when they have been victims of violent crimes and do they deserve to get some kind of closure from it. The death penalty is a way for victims of violent crimes to get justice, it is worth the cost of taxpayers money and if we got rid of it the murder rate would increase. The definition of capital punishment is when someone is put to death by using different types of methods to kill them. People get the death penalty for serious crimes like terrorism, murder and rape. There are a lot of different ways people talk or look at the death penalty some are for it and some are against it. It came back to a man that was on parole for recent history of sexxually assulting women and children and he lived right behind the bar. So what Ray to trying to prove in this article was not everyone is guilty by one piece of evidence. Today he is the director of training and communications for a group called witness to innocence it is for death row survivors for people that were sentenced to death for something they didn't do (Evans, Kim Masters). So talking about justice when it comes to the fear of punishment ties together by asking a question like why do people do these crimes when they know they will eventually get caught and go to prison or be sent to death row to be killed. A big problem with the death penalty is that it cost a lot of money to have somebody be executed. So a couple of questions were asked to North Platte High School students and staff and it was, “ Explain if Capital Punishment is worth the cost to taxpayers since it cost more money than a life in sentence” (Statistical). The out come of that question was 64% said yes and 32% said no and the other 4% said they don’t know if it is worth the cost to taxpayers (Statistical).
