Sparta and Athens are two cities in Ancient Greece. Sparta was a very powerful city and had a very powerful advantage. Sparta would be the best place to live because they had so much power and their goal was to over power every other city in Ancient Greece, so they could be on the top and that every other city wouldn’t want to go against them in battle.
Therefore, Sparta would be the best place to live all because of their amazing power. First, Sparta would be the way to go because they had a powerful army. That was a big priority for Sparta, to beat everyone they came up against so they could over power their army. If you were a boy back then, you would have many long years of training so leaders and trainers were sure you would win.
Secondly, Sparta emphasized on only expanding their power and gaining control over other kingdoms. That is why you didn’t have a choice if you wanted to be in the army or not, they put you in it. Even as a little boy you were taken away from your family and your home at age seven. As soon as you got there you began your training, and you didn’t stop training until you were twenty years old. Women were trained to become warriors so that when ever they would have a baby their baby boys would be strong and healthy and be ready for the military when ever they reached the age of seven. Men started out as healthy babies. As soon as they turned seven they were taken from their families and into the military to train. When they were around the age of twenty they were ready to move on from training and actually fight other warriors. On the other hand, when you were inspected from the leaders of the military and you were not strong and healthy and never would be, you were taken outside away from your home and left for something to find you useful
