Poe Died from Rabies Essay There are many explanations of how Edgar Allen Poe died. Edgar Allen Poe was a drunken and was very sensitive to wine and beer. Poe tended to act aggressively after drinking. The most reliable explanation of how Edgar died is that he died from rabies. Poe infact had not died from alcohol but from rabies. In some cases of rabies victims might not have bite marks showing they were bitten, But their actions show otherwise.The letter “Rabies Death Theory” says, “the virus can be incubated in human as long as a year”.This means someone can get bittenr in a year ago and wouldnt show symptoms until the virus get stronger or appears. This case Poe showed no signs of being physically bitten but his actions showed he had rabies. …show more content…

The article “Poe's death as real and as a case of rabies, not Telltale alcohol” says, “Poe could not drink water or alcohol ( rabies victims can not drink water without pain in the throat)”.This means although Poe had no signs of bite marks his actions prove he had rabies. In this case rabies victims cannot drink water without pain in the throat, although Poe couldn't drink water another one of his actions prove he had rabies very clearly. In this case rabies victim tend to act aggressive for a day or two then come down and pass on. Although there was no physical evidence proving Edgar Allan Poe have rabies his actions followed the ones who did have rabies. Still there are many explanations of how Poe died , but this is the most reliable
