There are over 400,000 college athletes who can look forward to a life of poverty and injury after college.College athletes often have problems later on in life. They also go into poverty.The schools also get all the money.College athletes should be paid for putting there body on the line while representing their school.

They put their bodies on the line so their team does good.Just in D1 football 8.1 out of 1000 athletes get hurt.Its not alot but there are more sports so there are more injuries.Some people get hurt and can't play sports for a long time or the rest of their life.How would you feel if your family member got hurt and got paralyzed or could not walk.Second The athletes take a chance to get hurt and …show more content…

Smaller schools get less money but they also have less student athletes.Last of all after college they often go into poverty.

After college student athletes don't have the job experience to get good paying jobs. 86% of student athletes live in poverty after college.98% of athletes don’t go pro so they have to get low paying jobs to live. Most student athletes have to stay with low paying jobs for a long time because they lack experience. After college student athletes report more stress than non-athletes.Most college athletes get to work while athletes practice.

Other people have a different understanding then me.They say they let the athletes go to school for free.They can go to school but they have a chance to get hurt.You also get to go to college for free if you serve in the army.So why no just serve.They also lack the job experience for later on in
