Almost everyone has cheated on or in something in their life. Whether it’s cheating on a test, copying work from the internet, moving pieces on a game board, or taking or having other’s do your work; it’s all cheating. Cheating is not the way to solve a problem or get a better grade. Cheating doesn’t make people cooler, smarter, or more superior else. No matter what situation a person is in, or why they cheat, it is never really okay or justified.
To start with, cheating is not okay because it’s wrong and dishonest. When a person cheats, they are lying about how smart they are or the abilities you have. Plagiarism is a form of cheating that many people do. Plagiarism is when work is copied from others. For example, many students copy other students work and use it as their own: this is plagiarism. When you cheat its being dishonest and gives you more credit for learning and being smarter than you deserve. Other students are losing time they may need, with the teacher, for help because they are trying to help you. But what’s the point if you are just going to cheat anyway: others need the time you are taking. Also, if you just cheat on test, papers, or etc. then you’re not gaining knowledge and learning the important things you need to know. Cheating might make you seem smart, but in all reality you’re not. What are you going to do when you can’t cheat on finals or in college? One day, when you get a job you won’t be able to cheat to get a higher position or to get more money; you will have to work hard and use the knowledge you
