One question that many people argue over, and is becoming a becoming a big argument is the question, “Are athletes overpaid?” Many people can argue that they are getting paid a sufficient amount of money for what they do. Children are trying to replica these athletes because of how much they have accomplished.Others say that they are getting way too much money for playing a game. Yes, they are good and deserve some amount of money, but no what they are getting paid for playing multiple amounts of games for only one year to get paid millions. First, I think that athletes are contingent on their money. Personally, I think that if athletes are only laying the sport just because of the money. If they didn’t get paid the amount that they do; they probably would not stay in the sport. First, we have people who are putting their lives at risk over seas trying to protect this country because they stand for their rights and beliefs. Our military personal are getting paid $55,620.00 per year IF they make it through the war. Also, we have nurses saving people's lives and only making $70,000 a year. Are we getting to the point that we value entertainment more than our family? We are wanting to be entertained by a basketball game rather than spending time with the family and doing things together. I can say this because I have experienced this first hand.
