Amendment 26 is the right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.
I think that 18 year olds should not vote. First of all 18 year olds do lots of crazy things and bad decisions. Some 18 year olds do lots of bad things and we're letting these kids vote for the president of the United States of America?
I think that the legal age of voting should be age 21 and older because when they are at least 21 they are able to make good decisions and choose which one would be the best President. When they are at age 21 they are at the drinking age legally. And that means that they can make big decisions and be responsible and they should be the ones to be to vote. …show more content…

On debate.org 75% Say that 21 year olds should vote and 25% say 18 Year olds should vote. When you come out of high school most high schoolers have no clue who to vote for and so they vote randomly and sometimes is not The right party. If a 18 year old is not responsible for drinking they should not be responsible voting.
Now I am 13 and I will say that I have no idea about any politics so putting a 18 year old out there to vote for the president is not very smart because there's not very many years between 13 and 18. And people don't know who to vote for unless somebody tells them and then they decide to vote for them. And many people don't know about any politics.
So in conclusion I think that 18 year olds should not vote so I am against the 26 Amendment. 18 year olds should not vote and a lot of people think that too. Not very many people think that 18 year olds to
