Arranged marriage is when your family pick the right wife or husband for you, so you don’t have the right to choose your future wife or husband. Even if you think that this is not the partner that you are dreaming of, Kelly said they should be more open for this idea. Even though in the western culture it’s not common to have an arranged marriage. Moreover, based on her article “What’s So Crazy About an Arranged Marriage?” People should take marriage more seriously as a relationship that’s spouses to last until death. She also mentioned that communication is the secret to a successful marriage. “Westerns think one will come to our lives and fix the things for us”(Kelly2012) the article proposes arranged marriage in western culture.
However the article was talking about arranged marriages. The author gives a real example for Amine and George, who arrange their marriage by themselves. Before if the father said that his daughter or son will get married to a certain person that means they will get marred to this person. They don’t have the right to say no to their father or family.
