What Makes the Miami Heat a Winning Basketball Team

When an NBA team wins back to back championships it is no coincidence that they are the best team in the league. But what makes up a winning basketball team? Most people would assume that if the team has the best player, or the best coach, or the biggest team, then the team has the best team. In reality, it takes more than that. It takes a combined effort from different factors of a team to be considered “elite”. This paper will discuss what makes the Miami Heat so special. The Miami Heat are a winning basketball team because of the superb players, wise coaches, and rowdy fans.
To start off, the Miami Heat has three of the best players in the league with great role players to fit in perfectly. Lebron James, the best player in the world, leads the Miami Heat. The following statistics come from the article “Miami Heat players”. James is a 6’8” 250 pound player who can play any position. He does it all for this team. James averages 27.6 points per game, 7.2 rebounds per game, and 7 assists per game. Not only does James produce superstar numbers, he also is a leader on this team.He takes big shots for his team, and helps other players as well. The second best player for the Heat is Dwayne Wade. Wade is a 6’4” shooting guard. He has been with the Heat for 9 years, and has won three championships with them. The eight time all star is a key component to this teams success. He is averaging 19.2 ppg, 5.1 rpg, and 1.77 spg. Not only is Wade an offensive threat, but he also has great defense. Another star of the Heat is Chris Bosh. Standing at 6’11”, Bosh is the power forward for the Heat. Averaging 16.5 ppg, and 6.7 rpg, Bosh is one of the NBA’s most dominant power forwards. He is a seven time all star.

They have three main all stars (James, Wade, and Bosh), and great role players to fit the perfect balance. The Heat’s coaching schemes also are perfect for the team. They play fast and up tempo which is the perfect game style for the Heat’s athletic players. In conclusion, the Heat is the best team in the NBA.
