Hamlet is a tragic play by William Shakespeare about a man named Hamlet.
A debate on whether or not the madness of Hamlet, was legitimate or feigned. However, it may also be true that Hamlet slipped into madness due to his depression which was caused by several factors to include the murder of his father Hamlet Senior by Hamlet's uncle, Claudius or the seeming suicide of his love, Ophelia or his mother's quick remarriage to Claudius after his father's death. His madness could have been triggered by any one of these, but can it be proved that his madness was legitimate? Because in the end he blames his madness for his wrong doing and assumes that all will be forgiven because he has claims that he’s cured from his madness. He does not want to be held countable on his tragic action on murdering Laertes father, Polonius.
Hamlet is still in mourning of his father’s death but feels that most of the people have moved on much quickly with the death of his father. And after a couple months his mother is remarried and a twist of turned events to find out that it is his uncle, Claudius which is his new step Father. Filled with anger he does not know how to digest this news. To top it off is visit buy the Ghost of Hamlet (hamlets father) to tell Prince Hamlet that his uncle Claudius is the murderer. ...m. Usually swords in fencing contests have had unsharpened ends so nobody would end up getting injured. Laertes had a rep as a talented fencer and so both Claudius and Laertes believed that he had a high probability to hit Hamlet (luckily Hamlet has been working on his fencing skills in secret and is quite better than anyone believes he would be). Laertes then recommends that they should have a sword applied with poison on it for plan B. Claudius then recommends that they should have a plan C as well if plan A or B would fail by having a cup of poisoned wine to offer Hamlet when he gets winded or tired. There is a lots of chances for mistakes such as Laertes can cut the wrong person or they could switch the swords. The wine class can be switched and sip by the wrong person or someone else can pick up his glass and drink it. There is so many possibilities for error.
