This country has a total of 1730 sq km of water located all over the land. Guatemala is a fairly large country.The land is very comfortable for the people that live there.
Geography
The total area of land in Guatemala is about 67,661 square miles.The total amount of water in Guatemala is 1,730 square miles. In comparison to Greece, Guatemala has 8,907square miles more of land and sea.The capital city in Guatemala is Guatemala city. Also the country is divided by regions and commonwealths.
Temperature
The average temperature around Guatemala is seventy three degrees.To the people that temperature is just right.Temperature vairys greatly from area to area because of altitude. Did you know that the Guatemalan people have natural resources like petroleum, nickel, rare woods, fish, chicle, and hydropower? Well they do.Also, the temperature is hot and humid in low lands.
Landscape
Bordering Guatemala there's Belize,El Salvador, Honduras,and Mexico.The coastline is about 249 miles long.Also Guatemala is located between El Salvador and Mexico, bordering the Gulf of Honduras.
The bodies of water that are touching or close by are, the Pacific ocean,and the Caribbean sea.And the national park is, Tikal national park.And last,the highest point of the country is volcantanjumulca with 13,846 feet.
Demographics
The languages that the Guatemalan people speak are spanish, quiche, and cakchiquel.The official language for Guatemala is spanish.

National Anthem the Armed Forces, & the Symbols
The national anthem is called “Guatemala be Praised.” The armed forces are the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force. Men between ages 18 and 50 are told to get into the force. The national symbols are, the national bird, the parchment scroll, the crossed rifles, the crossed swords, the olive leaves, and the bay laurel leaves.
A memorable fact about Guatemala is that an earthquake hit Guatemala in 2012, the largest since 1976. It hit on November 7th, with a magnitude of 7.4. 150 people were seriously injured, and 23 missing.Government officials say the death toll will rise. Houses were destroyed, schools, roads, and government buildings were damaged. And a prison wall collapsed.98 inmates had to be transferred to a different jail. Definitely memorable.
