The weaknesses of this software was that I couldn 't add the date 's easily. Therefore, I didn 't add this as it was time consuming like the task list. However, this enabled me to ensure for future purposes to use a calendar from the internet to make it easier. This is because then I am able to add this.
Also, another weaknesses is that I couldn 't fit all the Pert Chart in one page. I had to fit it in an A4 page compared to open mind it can be in A3. This was an issue as it meant that there was a lot of pages and not one page.
The improvements I could make when completing this task is that I could have set the page layout vertical. This would have enabled me to have more space. This means that there will be less pages.

I used my planning by ensuring that I check my own deadlines. This is to make me more organised and aware where I am currently at. I used my plan by looking at my task list in numerous occasions. Moreover, in my spare time I used to do extra work and in my lessons I used to show the work if the teacher was satisfied and if I wasn 't aware how to do the task. I would use this time to understand and complete my diary.
The strengths of following my plan has meant that I am ahead of my deadlines and I am less stressed and I can improve my work and take my time in a task, which I found difficult. This is significant because if you are behind one task it can cause an issue and problems because you will have more tasks. This can lead you to rush your work.

However, in terms of improvements, there were few changes I would consider if I were to do this again. I would create a more detailed Gantt file. This is because the tasks that I added were vague. This would have been more helpful it was clear. This would reduce the issue of the task being completed too early or too late. This means then I would spend the right amount of time.
Moreover, I also believe there should have been more meetings with my client and it should have been added in the Gantt chart. This would have been beneficial then I would know what to do specifically. This will mean that there are less likely to be errors in the tasks that I complete. Lastly, I could have created a detailed mind map, which included general information how long it would take to complete a particular task.

I realize how important research and the creation of multiple comprehensives for a project this big. Through those comprehensives I was able to generate new ideas that would later unify the collateral. In terms of success I think I became more proficient with the production side of the project. It consisted of a time schedule detailing my plans in order of what I was going to do that day. I wrote a rough action plan of what I wanted to do for the practical performance before I had met up with my model. After meeting her and taking test cuttings of her hair, it was clear that I would need to carry out a colour correction and therefore change my action plan. I also made small changes to how I planned to do my adaptation and so I applied this to the action plan too. Once I had made the changes, I had greater clarity and understanding of exactly what I was going to do and the amount of time I had to do it. I followed my action exactly as I had written it and this allowed me to manage my time effectively and even finish earlier than expected. I consider my action plan as being of great benefit to me as it prevented me from straying from my plans and therefore avoiding any failings during the practical performance. I felt my action plan helped me to feel calm in a situation where I might have felt under pressure due to time constraints. Knowing what I was going to do and how long I had to do it, gave me sufficient control and I could therefore project manage the practical performance of the Graded Unit. I find that the action plan is a great way to help me analyze how well I could project manage and carry out the practical performance as I can review the plans that I made and if I followed them and stayed on schedule or whether I needed to make any changes. Finally, I’ve learned the importance of looking ahead on the schedule to make decisions. The point of looking at upcoming activities is a good practice for a PM to make sure he/she will be ready when times come. By analyzing two to three periods ahead, I was able to anticipate and keep track of my resources and spending especially in periods where parallel tasks were executed. It wasn’t a perfect 10/10 hindsight but still useful.

I have many times tried to improve my time management. Every semester I start with a calendar, but about half way through I usually do not use it anymore. This semester I decided that I needed to use it all the time and I am still using it. I think that if I had used this action plan the first time I wanted to start using a calendar I would have been successful at first. This was a long-term design project, and everything was fresh to me. Patience was the crucial and essential factor that was needed in such a long project in my view. Fortunately, I learned and gained the patience. Besides, communication was another extremely significant factor. It was essential to communicate and discuss with the pathway tutors and the course mates regularly, for the information of the tutor was the most useful advice in the process of major project. Overall, I achieved these two important factors which also could be described as strengths.
