I have three specific goals that I intend to reach, which are to graduate high school, graduate college, and be successful in my career after college. To start, I plan to graduate high school. Although I am very near to attaining this goal, as I am in my last year of high school, it is an extremely important goal to me. In order to achieve this goal, I, as I have done throughout my time as a student, plan to study hard and strive to succeed in the classroom. Secondly, my intention is to attend and graduate from college. I have not chosen which college I will attend, however, I have narrowed down my options of colleges to those that would be the best fit for me and have the best programs for the field I want to enter. The programs of interest I want to attend college for are Agribusiness and Agricultural Mechanics. To reach this goal of graduating from college, I will strive in my educational endeavors to be rewarded with multiple scholarships and grants in order to help me financially in college. Also, during my time at the college of my choosing, I will be an avid student and show …show more content…
In all of the ventures and projects I am laboring in, I tend to be very critical of my efforts and the results I see. At times, I seem to feel like a perfectionist based on how much I critique myself and my work. Furthermore, I tend to accept more tasks than I am capable of handling at once. I often find myself taking on more duties and responsibilities than I should, which leads to me having a large workload and becoming very pressed in my duties. However, these weaknesses have helped me to grow as a person. For instance, I have begun to be more accepting of myself and confident in the endeavors that I am attempting to complete. Also, I have figured out my limits and I now only take on a certain amount of
As a highschool student we come up with many goals that we want to achieve each year. My three main goals for my junior year are to get good grades and maintain a good G.P.A. to stay active and play sports, and to start looking for colleges to apply for. Usually, it is hard to achieve all your own personal goals, especially if it involves working extra hard or doing other tedious activities.

Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...

I want to study a lot more than I do know for high school classes. I want to keep to a schedule and sometimes break the schedule and meet new people with football, work, or even study tables. School has always come easy to me. I never have needed to study for a hard test and I don’t want college to be a shocker. I want to actually earn the A. It’s easy to settle for a B at Riverside. If you want an A you have to try a little harder though. The schedule will be followed when I attend Peru and create my class schedule. I want to be able to stay healthy I want to get back to lifting regularly. I want to study my playbook, as much as I need to study for my classes. I want to still have free-time to spend with new friends. I want to support the Bobcats at volleyball, basketball, and softball games. I guess what my goal is, is attend Peru graduate, have better time management, become a better student, and be a great person in my career. I want to be a great leader and role model to others who see me. I want to get a job in Omaha and come back to Riverside and on Friday nights care for the young men batting with their buddies. I want to be a successful person that the high school kids see and want to become. I may not be the best person or role model at the moment but in four years I will become a great
Moreover, I have three short-term goals that I plan on accomplishing within the next several years. The first goal is to complete my last year in high school. I want to be among the people in my class that will walk in Constitution Hall in June 2016. Secondly, my goal is to attend Howard University. Ever since I visited the campus during my freshman year, I fell in love with the atmosphere. I felt as though I belonged in the
I’ve never had a goal of this magnitude. As I come closer to graduating, the more detrimental my consequences become to me. My more short term goals are to succeed as a student and graduate, perform more admirably during my first year of college, and to transition well into this new chapter of my life. I plan on obtaining my success through discipline. It’s important to uphold the discipline I’ve shown through high school but to be proactive in doing
To my surprise, we were presented with the task of writing a paper on our personal goals as one of the first assignments for this class. I was suddenly given the opportunity to analyze my personal goals with respect to education, work, and other aspects of my life. I came to realize that my primary personal goal was to expand my knowledge to gain a better understanding of myself and to determine my ultimate path in life. For me, these goals could only be realized by attending college. During my time at University of Phoenix, I will be investing my time and energy into the specific objectives of graduating and improving myself as a person.
My experience with goal making has always been a rough affair. The goals were not a source of motivation or inspiration for me. Instead the goals were a one-time action and were never to be found again once written down. It is not that I did not want to succeed in my goals or get the satisfaction of completing my goals, it is simply that my goals did not fit my specific needs and were not easy to follow. It is only now that I realize my goals were far from specific and measurable, realistic and challenging, and within a timeframe. Within this framework for goals my goals can become more inspirational to me and become a part of my life rather than a passing event in my life.
From the help of my teachers, family, and friends I have taken many of the necessary steps in completing my long and short term objectives. Because I have chosen to take hard classes in high school and get involved in numerous activities, I already have credit for many college classes. Another way that I am clearly prepared to achieve these goals set ahead of me is through the organization and responsibility of keeping up with my grades and getting college applications in on time. Ultimately, every educational and personal step in the right direction has been beneficial in finishing the goals I have set and preparing me for what lies
One primary long term goals that I have set for myself since freshman year was getting the best grades in high school and college to my own abilities. The way I reach this goal is that I use my time wisely in study halls or at home to get homework done. I work extremely hard in study halls to get as much homework done as I can because the less I take home the better because there are other things at home that I could be doing. Another one of my long term goals is going to college for something i 'll enjoy doing for the rest of the life. If I go to college to find a career that is not enjoyable than it could miserable going to work everyday. If you find a job that you enjoy you’ll never have to work a day in your life. I also try to set
When planning for our future it is important to have clear goals in mind and to understand the steps that need to be taken to achieve those goals. My long-term goal is to run my own counseling center and employee at least one other person. Some Skills I already possess that will allow me to succeed with this plan are my ability to relate to people and be consistent in following the steps needed, even though it will be a long and tedious process.
My goal as a teacher is to improve my student’s education and help them grow knowledgably. I like to see students at different levels develop with each other and learn. I want to challenge the students and watch them grow to their highest level of education. Therefore, having the students in groups is the best educational strategy I like to use a lot. I want my students to have freedom with whatever creativity they want, and to allow them to express themselves at any time. With this freedom students will be able to experiment with likes and dislikes and be able to figure their weaknesses and strengths. Education is for everyone and it’s a right by low for all; teachers, on the other hand, should do their jobs very honestly and effectively.
