Weakness:
1. Technology
The Company has invested its big portion on 3D printing equipment’s. Since technology has a limited life span, Whales’ need to upgrade its innovation very frequently.
2. Branding and Reputation
Small businesses have rivalry that may have better branding and better reputation than they have built up. This type of weakness is predominant when customers are acquainted with a particular store or brand, and then a small business creates or offers a competing product or service. Companies with better brand recognition, and established reputations, see a higher percentage of the market share, which is a potential weakness for a little operation. Hence, Whales need to work its best towards its customers to improve its brand

How to maintain strengths
The company can adopt certain communication techniques to maintain its strength
• build in opportunities for employees and volunteers to feed in their views
• ensure that all employees and volunteers can access information: if your only communication method is by email, check whether everybody has consistent access to a computer or a personal email account
• deliver data via a variety of methods but consistently, so that individuals recognize what to expect and where to acquire or access information
• maintain communication by regular and timely flows of information: try to avoid the last minute ‘news scoop’
• review your communication methods regularly and assess their effectiveness to guarantee that your messages are getting
Family therapy is often needed when families go through transitions such as separations between parents and divorce. According to research, “the power of family therapy derives from bringing parents and children together to transform their interactions” (Nichols, & Davis, p.18), as problems need to be addressed at their source. The children who are the most vulnerable, when parents decide to separate, exhibit symptoms which are exaggerations of their parent’s problems (Nichols, & Davis, p.18). Frank and Walt Berkman are the examples of how children cope and adapt to the stressors of family separations such as marital separations and
In the front of the head is the melon. Its melon transmits sound waves that help it see at night to helping it catch its prey. Killer whales have sharp, cone-shaped teeth made for ripping and tearing prey. The Killer Whale has no sense of smell because there is a part of their brain missing that is missing. The sense of smell goes unused because they spend most of the time in the ocean. The blowhole helps the Killer Whale to breathe; the blowhole flap provides a watertight seal. To open its blowhole, a killer whale relaxes the muscle covering the hole (SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment).
The origin of modern day whales, a mystery that has puzzled paleontologists for years, may have just been solved with the discovery of an ankle bone. This discovery might sound simple and unimportant, but the bones of these ancient animals hold many unanswered questions and provide solid proof of origin and behavior. The relationship between whales and other animals has proven to be difficult because whales are warm-blooded, like humans, yet they live in the sea. The fact that they are warm-blooded suggests that they are related to some type of land animal. However, the questions of exactly which animal, and how whales evolved from land to water, have remained unanswered until now.
When I was younger I always wanted to be a trainer at SeaWorld and work with Shamu, but of course I didn’t know how controversial captivity was. As I got older I started researching the issue and came to the realization that Orcas, also known as Killer Whales should not live in captivity. In captivity Orcas are in danger as well as the trainers who work with them. Orcas are the largest of the Dolphin family and are found in all oceans. They range from 23 to 32 feet in length, and can weigh up to 6 tons. They are one of the world’s most powerful predators, and have even been known to prey on whales (Whales.org). These magnificent mammals are born free and should remain in the oceans. It’s easy to understand that people love Killer Whales and want to see them up close, but putting them in tanks for our entertainment is wrong.
Fin whales are also called the Finback whale as well as the Razorback, it is a larger marine mammal that belongs to a suborder of Baleen whales. It is one of the biggest marine mammals second to only the blue whale.
A question that stumped me every time I walked by the giant blue whale hanging up at the Natural History Museum in New York City was, “Why are whales so huge?!” Years and years later, I have found the answer. Using the research paper entitled “Energetic Tradeoffs Control the Size Distribution of Aquatic Mammals,” published last month by leading scientist, professor William Gearty, as well as news article based off of his discoveries, the solution to my childhood puzzlement has been revealed.
A lack of exchange of ideas and information leads to a lack of comprehension and appreciation. T.J.’s father recognizes the correlation between communication and understanding, and feels that if humans communicated in the way that whales do, the world would be in a better position. As he puts it, “I walk outside and scream at the top of my lungs and it travels
Since the dawn of time, man has been fascinated with creatures that live in the sea. Some of the first known records of interaction between man and dolphin date back to Aristotle. It was only a matter of time before man decided he had to capture these creatures to call his own. In 1861, PT Barnum purchased what are believed to be the first cetaceans in captivity: six beluga whales from the St. Lawrence River who were shipped in boxcars filled with seaweed to a museum. The animals all died within two years. But Barnum’s belugas opened the doors to a lucrative business: the capture of cetaceans continued throughout the 1800s until the first oceanarium opened in 1938. While up until the 1960s capture was limited to smaller cetaceans (bottlenose dolphins were popular), in 1965, Ted Griffin, an entrepreneur and aquarium owner, made an unprecedented purchase: a young male killer whale named Namu who had been captured in a fishing net off British Columbia; he was the first successful specimen captured and displayed. His capture and display at the Seattle Marine Aquarium marked the beginning of one of the most controversial animal husbandry practices in history: the practice of keeping large, highly intelligent creatures such as killer whales in captivity for the purposes of entertainment (Man & Marine Mammals). Following a handful of deaths and countless injuries at the hands of captive killer whales, as well as various scientific studies examining the effects of captivity on Orcinus orca, the debate over their captivity for entertainment has been split between those who believe the practice should continue and t...
Whales are spectacular marine mammals that can weigh as much as 8 to 12,000 pounds. However, this mammal has certain swimming patterns, which are different than fish. Of course, there are many physical differences between whales and fish, but more importantly how they live and survive in the oceans. However, the swimming patterns of whales vs. fish and the adaptations whales have that help them survive vary greatly. Whales, unlike fish, have bones in their flippers. Because whales are warm blooded and massive, they consume way more food than ordinary fish. This provides the whale with a supply of blubber that helps the whale thrive in the ocean. A big difference between swimming with whales and fish are their tails. A fish's tail is pointed vertically, while a whale's (and a dolphin's) is pointed horizontally. Fish tend to swim from side to side (which is apparently called lateral
Big attraction parks such as Sea World should not keep orca whales in captivity because captivity is harmful for both the animals and the trainers. The earliest record of animals being used for entertainment goes all the way back to 2,000 B.C. This is the starting block of animal attraction parks and any form of animal entertainment. Captivity leads to numerous drawback. Drawbacks such as bad diets, high stress levels, abnormal pods and the danger of holding these animals at marine parks. However, there are a few advantages for orcas being held in captivity. For example, captivity provides educational gain, protection from predators, and rehabilitation centers. Although this may be true, the benefits of leaving orcas in their natural habitats
The blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus) is a marine mammal belonging to the baleen whales (Mysticeti).[3] At up to 29.9 metres (98 ft)[4] in length and with a maximum recorded weight of 173 tonnes (190 short tons)[4] and probably reaching over 181 tonnes (200 short tons), it is the largest animal known to have ever existed.[5][6]
Successful communication is critical for effective exchanges of information between individuals in every aspect of life, especially business. In the realm of business, be it planning, organizing, controlling, leading, or evaluating, accurate communication empowers satisfaction, trust and progress. Chuck Williams describes communication when he wrote "…consider that effective oral communication—achieved by listening, following instructions, conversing, and giving feedback—is the most important skill for college graduates who are entering the workforce. Communication is the process of transmitting information from one person or place to another" (Williams, 2015).

The Great Whale Project was the second phase of the James Bay hydroelectric project. In 1986 the province of Québec announced that it was going to build a hydroelectric dam on the Great whale River. The reason that this was a Canadian issue was because the first phase of the James Bay hydroelectric project was a complete environmental disaster. It flooded 10,000 square kilometers of land, released a lot of mercury into the water, and even caused a village to relocate. The Cree people were opposed to be Great will project and the announcement was followed by many protest Will including paddling a canoe to New York City.
According to Shimp (2007), there are five important factors which determine the purpose of advertisement in terms of marketers’ communication with consumers. He listed these five factors as follows: “(1) informing, (2) influencing, (3) reminding and increasing salience, (4) adding value, and (5) assisting other company efforts.” (p.246). To clarify that, the first most important aspect is informing people which means company needs to enhance the awareness of the consumer about their products by mentioning its advantages and features. Advertising also affect the products in two ways. Firstly, by basic demand, which build consumer desires for old products of the company and secondly, refers to a new brand of the company. In addition, effective advertising can retain consumer’s mind fresh about the image of a brand which develops the trace of the memory where consumers have to choose between two or more products. Moreover, it may change the product quality, create new, well-designed and elegant product and change consumers view towards the product. Lastly, by effective advertising program, company may save money and time as s...
