The renovation of the foyer and exterior of the Western Inn would have a lasting effect on the motel, revenue, and guests. Reviewing bid rates and evaluating the project by sections has helped our company approach the renovation process in an efficient and cost effective manner. An analysis was performed to determine if the cost, schedule, and work accomplished progressed per the plan. One of the main goals of this project is to create an alternative design in terms of manufacturability and economic basis, and by refurbishing and rebranding the Western Inn we aim to move the hotel into a different marketing sector.

The renovation of the existing space has minor structural implications as new materials are added to the building and the use of the space per the architectural and functional requirements are different than original. An approximate design process, including repainting the exterior of the building was conducted to update the visual appeal from the highway. Also, cosmetic upgrades to the foyer in terms of repainting and possible structural addition would have a lasting effect on the perception of how guests are greeted when entering the hotel. …show more content…

The proposal for the exterior would be repainting the rock panels off white and unifying all panels by adding a simple painted rectangular design, that adds dimension to the building. Also, signage will need to be updated, the inexpensive route is to have it painted a solid color, and have the hotel name re-stenciled. Another option is to have a custom sign created that in affect rebrands the inn, and attracts new customers. The cost for painting the exterior and the inexpensive signage is approximately four thousand per quarter, and for the option that includes updated signage is six thousand two hundred fifty dollars per
