Living between two phrases of slavery and abolishing, Washington could see clearly about the differences between his people and white people. After freedom, he had more chances to do what he wanted. He understood that approaching education was one of the happiest in his life and helped him to open his mind so that he could do greater things. Attending school with other blacks and whites, he realized that there was always a gap between his races with another. He found that there was no equity about judgment between black and white people. It seemed the blacks were always failing when they undertake something. That was also his early ambition: a recognition. I could explain that he was jealous with white’s success that they did not have obstacles placed in their successful ways while Washington who just got out of the slavery and began from the bottom His desire was to be recognized and to be succeeded as a white person. In the result, that simple desire had become the foundation to make the legacy of Washington T Washington in the future. Base on his own first ambition, Washington tried to find many ways to make his first step to reach his desire. He knew that education was the only way could help him successful. He believed that the Hampton Institute was the only chance could help him to realize his desire.
