Warren Buffett, a business owner and investor from Omaha Nebraska, who is 87 years old, has a net worth of $85.2 billion and still works. By some, he is considered to be the most prosperous investor of all time. Everyone has a hero in their life whether it be a family member or a historical figure certain individuals inspire others, and my hero is Warren Buffet. Warren is a hero as seen in my opinion because he is a philanthropist, he is energetic, and he is a hard worker.

Warren Buffett was born on August 30, 1930, making him 87 years old, at his age, he is still the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway. This exhibits that even at almost 90 years old, he is still working at the same company he has been working for, for 51 years, and he plans to work until he dies. This further proves he is energetic because, like Beowulf in Robert Nye’s epic poem Beowulf, he will work for what he enjoys until the day he dies. Additionally, he is also energetic because he reportedly drinks around 5 Coca-Cola cans and consumes roughly 4,000 calories per day which is more than double a man of his age should be intaking. This further tells that no matter his age he still can enjoy the energetic pleasures of a child such as Mcdonald’s or Coke because he believes in that, you can drink what you enjoy and live shorter or you can drink what you don’t enjoy and live longer. This additionally corroborates he is energetic because even at 87 he still drinks and eats as if he is 7.
