The colors that Warhol used for the race riot are red,white,and blue.From my perspective I think Warhol did this to be slightly sarcastic and to make this portrait into a political paradox.My reason for saying this is because red stands for the blood that was shed for this country,white is for the trust that many people have in this country and blue is for the freedom that people proclaim to have in this country.In each slide of Warhol’s picture the red would stand for the blood that was shed in the riot,the white would stand for the trust in the law enforcement that people who were not oppresed gave to the law and the blue stands for the freedom that many didn’t feel like they received.

All through time, the world has been racist and intolerant of people different from themselves. Countless millions have suffered due to the bigotry of people that couldn't understand change or differences among one another. There was a time when any soul that wasn't blue eyed and blonde haired in Germany, anyone with darker skin where immediately classed as inferior and not human. Even now, when you are not aware, racism is still a considerable problem. But sometimes it isn't one person being racist against another, but rather one person being racist against them self. The movie crash shows good examples of how racism against oneself, caused by fear and misunderstanding, is just as malevolent and evil as racism against another person. Fear is what makes people act racist. Farhad is one of many examples in the movie of a person who recognizes his own race and paralyzes himself through his own fear. Farhad believes that since he is Persian he is immediately being persecuted against and cheated. He flips out at the gun shop when the owner was insulting him which just furthers his fear of Americans. After the events on 9/11, which are referenced a lot in the movie, Farhad thinks that anyone who is Middle Eastern isn't welcome in America. Even after the gun shop owner was rude; his shop was destroyed by racist people who hated him. It is this same fear of being cheated because of his race that makes him very untrusting to people he doesn't know. He calls a lock smith to come fix his door because it won't lock. He immediately thinks that Daniel is trying to cheat him and steal money from him just because of his past endeavors.

The White Night Riots consisted of two riots on May 21st, 1979 following a highly controversial trial verdict in San Francisco, California. Thousands of members of the predominantly gay community flooded the streets to protest the merciful sentence received by Dan White for the murders of Harvey Milk, a gay rights activist and politician, and Mayor George Moscone. Numerous arrests were made, and there was considerable physical damage over the course of the White Night Riots.
“The Ten Point Plan”, written by the group called the Black Panthers, was a document created to bring out equality and social justice for all blacks in America. The Black Panthers became a political party after blacks in America started to gain more power within themselves as a group through protests, by 1966 blacks were ready to take their progress into the political arena. In the article "The Rebirth of Black Rage", by Mychal Denzel Smith, the United States' history involving racial inequality is brought to light and organized to reveal how a newly sparked civil rights movement has begun. Smith begins his statement revealing how poor of a response the US government had following Hurricane Katrina. During an NBC celebrity telethon, rapper Kanye West made a statement regarding the Katrina response that, "Bresident Bush doesn't care about black people". This statement, along with the worlds' new strength in exposure through technology, a strong uprising was underway. Civil society is a crucial component for adjusting the degenerating structures of the West. As Ferguson illustrate, the problem comes from “within it: the legislature, the regulatory agencies, and the legal system itself”. Elites inside these institutions are unable or unwilling to reform. Similar to the “violence trap” proposed by North, Weingast, and Cox, institutional change requires elite to change, but they are constrained by the state of those structures. Thus, breaking that cycle requires an outside force and in this case, the power must come from civil society. Although colors are usually represented and used for the recollection of joyful experiences, Death uses the colors of the spectrum to enhance the experience of the Book Thief and as well as him own life too. In Death’s narration, his use of the colors illustrate the great ordeal of suffering and pain throughout the book’s setting. As an example Death says “The day was grey, the color of Europe. Crash is a good movie that portrays all the racism and stereotyping that people and communities are facing. There are more issues than what I found during the movie but I will talk about the ones that stood out to me. One thing amazing about the movie is how the story develops and how all the stories tie into one another. Crash evokes the "racial" problem that faces the United States because of its diversity that should be an advantage but in general, it is not often the case. It often does not work as expected because of stereotype, discrimination and racism that face different minority communities. Whether emotion, terror and rage, Crash depicts the brutal realism of cynicism, or the American collective fantasy into force of a dominant race.
Michael Jackson was given the title, the “King of Pop”, for very good reason; he captured audiences with his catchy lyrics, amazing dance moves, and dazzling outfits. His legacy has lived beyond the grave, as his music is played on the radio, his concert movie, This Is It, was released after his death, and people are still moonwalking and doing the Thriller dance.
