Walter Elias Disney was the founder of the Disney Company from 1923, until his death in 1966. Disney was able to impact many generations after generations, and that can be seen today with millions of people attracted to Disneyland, Disney parks, Disney movies, and so many more Disney lines. The detail and planning Disney put into his ideas and works was one of the most important traits that Walt Disney exhibited. Today, Disney’s leadership team manages the world’s largest media company, and are the visionaries behind some of the most respected and beloved brands around the globe. This type of leadership can be beneficial because when decisions need to be made quickly, then you do not need to consult a group of individuals. As well as when there is a situation that is stressful, then it allows the employees to focus on performing specific tasks without worrying about making complicated decisions.The reason that Disney was so successful in all his operations is because he carried his vision, and mission over into other areas of Disney. Walt Disney was innovative and creative. His innovative trait allowed him to keep up with technology and often he was inventor of such technologies. He set up his own art school for his employees when the art schools were not offering Disney what he wanted and needed to carry out his mission. Walt Disney was a risk taker. He learned by trial and error. An example, is when he was twenty years old and he started his woman cartoon business called “Laugh O Grams” with his friend.
