There are 3 wall hangings in the cathedral. Two in which are hung beside the altar and they represent the valley in heaven. The other is outside between the two arches and it represent Pope John Paul ll walking through the streets of Poland. With the altar decorations there are three and they include: the white tulip, gray carpet, and the Canadian flag. The white tulip that sits beside the left and right post symbolizes peace. The gray carpet in the center is where the bible is placed and represents the fallen saints of Christ. The Canadian flag represents where the cathedral is in the world.
