Wakulla Springs Monologue

“Ana, it’s time to leave!” Dad called to me. We were driving to the Wakulla Springs Lodge. Mom and Dad wanted to go there before the butterflies migrate. I wanted to go to the movies. Dad stopped at the lodge and brought out a map. “We’ll drive to St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge to see the butterflies,” he said. When we got there, we parked the car and walked toward a marsh. “Look at the butterflies!” I said, as they rose up ahead of us and landed on flowers. “So many! All different with beautiful designs! One is striped like a zebra!” It was amazing! I had never seen anything like it before.
