Introduction Today in this modern world, violence against women is the most dangerous form of discrimination which needs to get attention properly. “Data from more than 24,000 women in 10 geographically and culturally varied countries involved in the WHO Multi-Country Study on Women's Health and Domestic Violence highlights that violence is widespread and illustrates the degree to which levels vary between setting” (Claudia Garcia-Moreno1, 2017) According to these reports violence against women is considered to be addressed urgently than other issues in the world.

Throughout the class we learned about domestic sex trafficking and explored, how people are trafficked, what were the risk factors, and what were the indicators that the individual was being trafficked? The traffickers are usually forcing the women to do sexual contact with many strangers and they are earning the profit. The victims are females at the age of 14 and 22 years. Most of the victims are trapped in this because of their financial need and sometimes in a need for love and affection and care. But in some cases, they are unaware of what was happening and when they realized the thing they might not able to escape from the trap. In 2014 Canadian police services reported 206 violence’s of human trafficking in Canada “Since 2007, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police's (RCMP) Human Trafficking National Coordination Centre (HTNCC) has been gathering information related to human trafficking cases from the RCMP and other law enforcement agencies. I would encourage women to act against this by forcing the government to legislate severe punishments for the crime. Women empowerment is on method to reduce the rate of human trafficking

The theory of learned helplessness
It is a theory which is used to explain a person's inability to protect herself from repeated violence against them “ in this theory walker attempted to show how the symptoms commonly connected with specific forms of mental illness, such as depression ,low self esteem, and helplessness appeared in women who had suffered long term domestic abuse” (Walker)
Theory to explain Violence against Men
Battered Husband Syndrome
This theory states that men are equally facing violence as women. According to the report of US National Family Violence Survey {1975} “Suzanne K. Steinmetz wrote an article related to this topic and she used this term as a correlative to the term ‘Battered Wife Syndrome ‘Her findings and researches concluded that women have the tendency to show violence against men in certain conditions” (Steinmetz).
