In this short film, Danny DeVito stars as the eponymous Vince D’Angelo, a city councilman from Passaic, New Jersey, and former head of a “concrete business” who announces his candida-cy for United States Senator. Using deceptive political advertisements and underhanded cam-paign tactics, the shady conman manages to win the hearts and minds of the voters of the Garden State. One of the strongest parts of The Selling of Vince D’Angelo is the acting. DeVito is in top form, filling the role of the dubious title character perfectly.
