My career choice is a Veterinarian. A Veterinarian is a person qualified to treat diseased or injured animals. The reason I have chosen this career is because I’ve always loved animals, loved working with them, and I love helping injured animals. This career interest me in many ways. Veterinarians have the ability to heal various animals right before their eyes. Veterinarians also have communication skills, allowing them to connect with the animals’ owners. They are respected leaders in their communities as well because of their caring heart for both animals and humans. The Veterinary field is also diverse. Many veterinarians treat small companion animals. As a small animals vet, you may perform services such as spaying and neutering, setting broken bones, treating wounds and providing geriatric care for older pets. You might also take X-rays and dispense prescription medicine for animals with illnesses. Other job duties include pets against diseases and performing surgeries and euthanasia if necessary. Veterinarians who care for large animals often engage in production medicine, which involves treating entire herd to prevent disease. As a large animals vet, you may also advise farm owners on animal feeding and production concerns , as well as maintaining sanitary conditions. Working in food inspection as veterinarians you must ensure that animals are free of communicable diseases. In animals practice, you can be anesthesiologist, surgeon, or obstetrician all at once. Depending on what clients the day brings you. Disadvantages of being a vet. Animals will likely protest being taken to the vet’s office. You might get bitten, scratched, or kicked. Neglectful, difficult or emotional human caretakers. In conclusion, the Veterinarian profession has many interesting aspects to it. It calls upon those who are hard working, communicative, and people who have a passion.
