With a growing population, the growing amount of smokers worldwide is increasing rapidly. Tobacco companies are trying to discover new ways that could make smoking less harmful, more addictive, cheaper, and most importantly, get more people to buy their goods. Meanwhile, other anti-smoking groups are basically trying to stop others from smoking and decrease the smoking number while this in some way gave rise to a term we call vaping, which is done with a vape machine. This however leads to an intriguing question: Is vaping actually healthier than smoking a regular pack of cigarettes, or does it have the same effect as smoking cigarettes and should be banned or not?

Tobacco as we know is highly addictive and leads to heart problems, stroke, and emphysema. Nicotine likewise, is very addictive and does its job of stimulating the nervous system and raising blood pressure, respiration, and heart rate. There’s also different types “flavorings and propylene glycol, which is used to make smoke and fog for performances. Propylene also irritates the lungs and eyes. Glycerine and acrolein are also ingredients that causes heart damages” ( McMillen ).
However, this leads to the question of how to buy a vape. In order to purchase a vape, you need to have an ID and be at least 18 years old. The sale of “vaping supplies to minors is banned , but teens have no trouble getting it offline. The price of an e-cig starter kit is around $50. You are then expected to pay around $15 a week for vape juice. But if you’re a daily vaper, you’re looking at around $750 a year” ( Wheeler ). When you look at it, it is the person's’ choice on whether they want to smoke and inhale lot of dangerous chemicals and other ingredients into their lungs, or not. An individual knows the risk of smoking cigarettes, or using a vapes. At the end of the day, they are the ones who are deciding their own faith. It’s not like anybody is vigorously forcing them to smoke, even though peer pressure can be linked to that. I believe humans are the ones responsible for the high numbers of deaths that are caused by smoking. If you think about it, there wouldn't be any cigarettes if it wasn't for humans. Nor would there be any pipes, vapes, or any type of smoking device. Guess we humans aren’t the best at making things that are good for us
