CADD has many uses in the modern world today. The uses of CADD span to almost all occupations in the world ranging from animated design to architecture. CADD is mostly used to do fine touches on a drawing or give different views of a building. CADD is used to mostly touch up or alter designs.
CADD is a computer software that is used in many ways. Sometimes CADD is used to change how something looks or to give a better view of how something looks. It is also extremely helpful in the designing process of an item, building, etc ("Computer-aided Design.").
CADD is essential to some choice occupations. Most occupations have the possibility to use CADD in the process of making goods. Whether it be from designing an item or getting a better three-deminsional view of a product.
Architecture is an example of an occupation that uses CADD. Architects use CADD in a way that helps an architect to design buildings, or something else they are working on (nielsen). This helps make the building as perfect as it could be. They make a two-dimensional design of the building at first then they could possibly make a three-dimensional view of the building to gain a better view of the building (nielsen). Once they finish designing the building it undergoes revision and is eventually built and becomes a fully functioning house to live in.
An occupation that’s similar to architecture is interior design. Interior design is the planning of the inside of a building. They design how the inside of the building will look after a few cosmetic things are done to it (nielsen). They use CADD to show how a paint scheme would look on a building or how the furniture would look when its placed (nielsen). Once the house is finished, interior designers decorate the...

In prior generations, clothing were designed by hand. Today, designers have computer-aided design. This software allows them to view designs of clothing on virtual models of a numerous shapes and sizes. In all it's the most efficient garment designing process. It saves companies both time and resources. 3-D printed apparel revolutionizes the experience of buying clothes for the average consumer.

The process of product design has several steps to having a successful product. There are all different levels of expertise needed to complete the process and concurrent design engineering allows for this to work. Concurrent Design Engineering was defined by Sohlenius as "a way of work where the various engineering activities in the product and production development process are integrated and performed as much as possible in parallel rather than in sequence." Different disciplines within the process are kept informed through the database of any and all changes to the product from start ...

Welding is a very important tool used in our daily lives. Welding is the process of joining two metal pieces together by applying heat. A filler helps to make the joint. Everything we use from trucks to houses have some type of welding in them. There are many types of welding careers to choose from. There is a great demand for welders today. My project was to build a table and candelabra out of metal. Most of the metal I gathered came from junk yards and had to be cleaned of rust.

The CAD software is also a great program because it is also used for geometric modelling, engineering analysis, design review and optimisation and automated drafting. Computer aided design (CAD) is widely used in the watches and clocks industries to improve speed, accuracy and efficiency in the production process and reduce time and cost in product design. In particular, the use of 3-Dimensional
User-centred design (UCD) is about the design process where the end-user has an influence of how the design comes out in the end. The design of everyday objects is not always user friendly and leaves customers irritated and unable to use the object, this is where user-centred design comes in (Travis 2009: 10). User-centred design can go two ways, it is either technology driven or user demand driven. When a project is technology driven this means that the technology and its possibilities is the focus of the project. User demand driven is when a project starts with...
Digital fabrication is coming into the construction industry to create precisely crafted and complex buildings in response to the new competitive environment and construction market demands. Thanks to advanced technology, the good revolution can be seen in most industrial activities. Almost all of the industry sectors are trying to keep themselves up to date with new related innovation to boost their sustainable growth. However, unfortunately architects and construction engineers have been more conservative despite all of the massive global investment in the construction sector. This conservative trend was started many years after great prosperity and success in the other industries. As an example, in comparison with the more developed automotive industry, the construction industry has been weighing the pros and cons of doing automation, and it is still under development. Despite some limitations and lack of information over the 80’s and even 90’s, but the current status indicates good progress. Today, most of architectural design is no longer possible without computer technologies. The models have become more complex and require advanced tools to understand design codes and implement fabrication processes. It can be said, that the advanced automated tools with a user-friendly programming system can bring incredible solutions for architects and construction engineers. Many researchers have made significant studies to consider all possibilities and limitations of digital design-construction in various types of procedures.
When I first started robotics, I did not fully understand what an engineer was, and I had some cloudy vision of becoming a police detective in the distant future. However, the more involved I became in the robotics program, the more interested I grew in the whole concept. Being presented with a problem and limitations, such as time constraints, budget constraints, and size and weight constraints, and then have to come up with a feasible design that fits the limitations is an amazing learning experience. However, the process did not end at coming up with a design; in fact, that was just the beginning of a very long road. After the initial design was decided on, us designers spent hours coming up with CAD (computer aided design) mockups, dimensioning every single plane and meticulously going over every centimeter of the virtual version of our robot. With a solid vision in place, construction began and as we learned more about the problem and our own limitations, we were forced to perform small alterations to our design; making it dynamic to fit the ever changing
There are different types of UML diagrams. Each UML diagram is designed to let developers and customers view a software system from a different perspective and with varying degrees of abstraction. UML diagrams commonly created in visual modeling tools include: use case diagram which displays the relationship among actors and use cases. Class case diagram models class structure and contents using design elements such as classes, packages, and objects. It also displays relationships such as containment, inheritance, associations and others.
The job of an interior designer is to create a space that meets their client’s needs by using decorations, lighting, colors, and patterns (“Interior Designers” para. 2). Interior designers focus on how colors, textures, furniture, lighting, and space affects a building and its appearance (“Interior Designer Career” para. 1). They create designs that can help raise productivity, sell merchandise, and improve lifestyle (“Interior Designer” What’s para. 1). Most designers have a specialty or certain style of a building or space they they work on, and others may work for home furnishing stores (“Interior Designers” para. 11). Going through the process that an interior designer goes through to make a design is time consuming. They begin with the first step which is called programming (“Interior Designer Career” para. 4). This first step is like an evaluation; the designer meets with the client, determines their needs, wishes, preferences, and budget, and surveys their working space (“Interior Designer Career” para. 4). Once the client’s information is gathered, the designer will normally use CAD software to create a design and
The second way is by using computer aided drafting (CAD) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM) programs on your computer.
Most video cards support the OpenGL and DirectX libraries. These libraries include commands for manipulating graphics that programmers can include in their code. Some of these commands may include moving or rotating an object, morphing polygons, or casting light and creating shadows. By using standard OpenGL or DirectX functions, it makes it easier for developers to create graphically-oriented programs. Of course, it also makes it necessary for the computer to include a supported video card in order for the program to
As an owner of both programs, I have discovered that a strong project and presentation consist of drawings done both in AutoCAD and ArchiCAD. Since both programs excel in their own areas, an Architect could use a combination of these programs to reach perfection when submitting an idea to a client.
