They have differences because they are from different families and different ways of growing up. Tybalt judged Romeo for his name and not for his character.
There are some similarities between Tybalt Capulet and Romeo Montague. Tybalt and Romeo are very protective of Juliet. Tybalt and Romeo are both held responsible for their actions. They were both raised in defensive families. That's the similarities between Tybalt and Romeo.

Romeo and Juliet and West Side Story have many differences and similarities. Characters such as Chino and Count Paris are very similar. There are also many similar events like their rumble. However, there are some differences in the scenes such as the tomb scene. There are many similarities and differences in West Side Story and Romeo and Juliet.
Tybalt is related to Juliet, and is naturally a character foil to a relative of Romeo named Benvolio. Tybalt contains a quick temper, and makes a multitude of rash decisions. Tybalt also responds to disrespect with violence, and without much consideration. Benvolio’s name rings true to word that sounds similar:
Because of this conflict, confrontations occurred and insults were thrown. Hatred is bred which is evident when Tybalt, who is Lady Capulet's nephew, joins the fight against the Montague family. Tybalt hates Romeo and doesn't hesitate to let it be known.
This of course makes Tybalt very angry, but he obeys his uncle and lets Romeo stay. If Capulet had been in an angry mood, then he might not have been so lenient at the party. If Tybalt had not gone to him and just acted under his own judgement, then Romeo would have never met Juliet, and would have been forced to leave the party or even killed. These facts prove that it was just a coincidence that Romeo and Juliet came to meet and fall in love that night. If things had not happened exactly the way they did the outcome would have been completely different.
The two plays, Romeo and Juliet and Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, have many differences and similarities. Obviously since they were both written by William Shakespeare, then they will have some similarities because a majority of writers have similar traits in how they write each play, novel, movie, etcetera… Romeo from Romeo and Juliet and Brutus from Julius Caesar have an abundant amount of similarities and differences throughout both plays. A majority of the characters had similarities and difference as well, but Romeo and Brutus’s stood out the most to the readers. Romeo and Brutus both did something detrimental that ended up being the cause of their lovers suicide, but it was for different reasons. Then the way that Romeo did not
In the greatest love story Romeo and Juliet written by william shakespeare. why would they name Tybalt after the prince and the cats. It was mercutio who named him that because he hats tybalt. Also Tybalt is a nephew to Lady Capulet. Tybalt tends to stalk around proudly attacking anyone who stokes his fur wrong. and there's no real explanation for Tybalt's aggressive behavior. He wants to defend his reputation as the toughest of the Capulets. It's also likely tybalt likes to fight.
Evidently, Tybalt respects Lord Capulet and the family name. When he goes to inform the Montague’s intrusion, Lord Capulet dismisses the enemy’s presence, ordering Tybalt to “be patient, take no note of him” (I.v.71). Despite Lord Capulet’s calm approach towards the appearance of Romeo, Tybalts mind is clouded with hatred and only views Romeo as a threat. Tybalt’s angered reaction at the sight of Romeo, as well as his impulsive decision to warn Lord Capulet in hopes of getting rid of the enemy, is due to the ongoing feud between the Montague’s and Capulet’s and not because of any harm directly caused by Romeo. Lastly, at his initial reaction to deny the announcement of Juliets death, Romeo dismisses Balthasar and seeks an apothecary who he hopes will supply him the poison that will grant his wish to be with Juliet forever.
Tybalt is a Capulet and very passionate about hating the Montagues. In Act 1 Scene 5 when Romeo, Benvolio, and Mercutio sneak into Capulet’s party, Tybalt recognizes Romeo and begs Lord Capulet to kick him out. “Uncle, this is a Montague, our foe, / A villain that is hither come in spite / To scorn at our solemnity this night” (1. v. 69-71). Later, Tybalt sees Romeo on the street and tries to fight him, convinced that Romeo has done something to him. Romeo doesn’t want to fight, and Mercutio steps in. Benvolio and Romeo try to stop them, but Mercutio gets fatally wounded. Tybalt’s devotion to his family ended up killing Mercutio, and Tybalt himself later ends up dead because of
In Act One of William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, we meet Romeo, Mercutio, and Tybalt. Right away, we get an idea of who these characters are and what kind of role they will play throughout the story. Romeo, Mercutio, and Tybalt share many distinctive characteristics and personalities in the story. We learn that Romeo is the romantic and handsome son of the Montagues. In the beginning of the story, he was depressed, but his mood quickly changed as the story went on. We also learn that Mercutio is Romeo’s closest and good friend who tries to make Romeo forget about his first love, Rosaline. He is a great entertainer and he’s very sarcastic too. Instantly, we learn that Tybalt is a Capulet and Juliet’s cousin. He is very hot-headed, aggressive, and violent. He loathes the Montagues very much. Finally, in Act One of William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, we meet three characters, Romeo, Mercutio, and Tybalt and we directly get an idea of what the characters are like.
Tybalt is ~'king of cats~', quick to anger and act without thought, prone to act fast and violently if he feels insulted or dishonored. Benvolio is called a peacemaker (even his name is from the root of ~'benevolent~' or kind), and tries many times to soothe frayed tempers and hurt feelings. Benvolio is also asked by Romeo's parents to keep an eye on Romeo, and he is the one the Prince approaches to get to the bottom of the street fight between Romeo's friends and Capulet's supporters. Tybalt is the opposite in character, being unfriendly and self-serving.
Capulet was far more directly affected by Juliet’s death than Tybalt was. Also a Capulet, he had fought with the Montagues on numerous occasions. He did not force Romeo to leave his party, but whether he was prepared to be friendly with the Montagues was another matter. Juliet believed that her father would never approve of her marriage to Rome, so she kept it a secret. As a result of being unaware that his daughter had already married, Capulet arranged Juliet’s marriage to Paris, Capulet assumed that she was crying in grief over Tybalt and would be heartened by getting married.
Before I begin my essay I should explain what characters I will be referencing in this essay. The Montague’s and Capulet’s are in a violent reoccurring feud. Romeo is the son of Montague and Lady Montague. Romeo falls in love with Juliet
Given this point, it is unrequited love that brings Romeo and Juliet together. But this also means that they would have to get over the fact that their families hate each other. This eventually leads them to forgiving the rival family for all the hateful acts that have occurred against one another. This is not the only forgiveness that is experienced in this play. Tybalt is a Montague with a fiery attitude.
As a matter of fact, Tybalt is considered an aggressive character due to his words and actions. Specifically speaking, Tybalt’s aggressiveness towards Romeo and his family is solely due to the fact that they are Montagues, no more or no less. For example, this is shown when Tybalt says “To fleer and corn at our solemnity? Now, by the stock and honor of my kin, to strike him dead I hold it not a sin”. This occurred when Romeo showed up at the Capulet’s party dressed as a torchbearer. Tybalt wanted to interrupt the feast and turn the jocund mood to resentment just so he can kill Romeo for crashing the party. In addition to this, Tybalt is also considered as aggressive because he doesn’t want peace between the two noble families. For instance, “What, drawn and talk of peace? I
