Twitter is a social media website frequently used on the internet. Twitter was founded by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Evan Williams, and Biz Stone. Twitter was created on March 21, 2006, but wasn't yet launched on the internet until July 15, 2006. Twitter's main headquarters is located in San Francisco, CA, but also has offices in New York City, Boston, San Antonio, annd Detroit. Twitter, also has many featues that you can favorite a tweet, retweet it, or even tweet the same tweet.(Philadelphia Encyclopedia). Twitter has improved greatly since it was created in 2006 to 2014 now.
Twitter's key people are Jack Dorsey, and Dick Costolo. The company is worth $317 million in U.S. money as of 2012. Tweets are stored in MYSOL databases that were temporally shared, that is the databases were split by time of rosting. Twitter allows you you to update your profile from via mobile phone.
