Tropical Forest Deforestation
Tropical rainforests are ecological systems that comprise of a wide variety of trees and animals. Most of these ecosystems exist within the tropics. The climatic condition of these regions is temperate which receives an adequate amount of rainfall and so the area is wet. These rainforests cause the hot and humid climate as they retain the heat as well as attract rain. However, due to the increasing population and industrialization, deforestation is occurring throughout the world. The clearing of trees has led to severe climatic change, soil erosion, and loss of indigenous tree and animal species.

The main parties involved in this activity are the wood-based industries who use timber as their principal raw material. These include furniture makers, matchstick manufactures, and paper millers among other companies. In addition, firewood is the primary source of fuel in the developing countries. Apart from using trees as a source of fuel, people clear forested areas to provide space for agriculture. Additionally, enacting of stiffer penalties for all culprits is necessary in order to discourage people from taking part in deforestation (Bradford, 15). In addition, it is advisable to maintain and repair old roads and railways instead of clearing bushes to construct new ones. Humans will always require more space to support their life. For this reason, reclamation of land from other areas such as swamps and the desert is more logical with minimum damages.
It is evident that the problem of deforestation is a challenge to stop but despite this, it is more manageable. Preserving intactness of these forests has an association with minimization of drastic climatical changes and fluctuations as well as global warming.
