Essay3: DBQ "Treatment of Women" Throughout history women have always been treated differently. The Islamic religion and chinese society have helped develop the proper treatment of women .They've set guidelines for how women should be treated correctly and how women should act. In their views both sides must always follow the guidelines. These guidelines basically were like the first set of right s you could say for a woman. In doc 1, which is an Islamic P.O.V document it states that women should be obedient to god and her husband. It shows how women needed to act and what they were expected to do . In addition, it says how men should treat women if she is acting hostile and they are taught to be very respectful towards them and not to be hostile back.This help build proper treatment of women In doc 2,which comes from a jewish P.O.V states how women shouldn't be allowed to say grace. It implies they aren't worthy or aren't as understanding as the males. The jewish people did the opposite of the Islamic people they thought women were inferior, by a lot. …show more content…

IN doc 3 they don't think women have power and from their P.O.V it seems that they think women are not strong and can be independant. Tee men also say in this doc that they can not stand a s as witness in a prosecution. This gives them less power and goes against women, and takes away from the correct treatment of women. An additional doc would be helpful from the P.O.V of a women in that time.
