There once was a man and a woman, and they had a son named Timmy. Timmy was tall and lengthy with very long legs. When he grew up, he wanted to be a professional basketball player. He had the height and quickness but not really the other skills like shooting and agility. In fact, most people considered Timmy as mediocre or developing. At the practice, Timmy anxiously wishes to know which team he is on. He was one of the first ones there, so he had to wait for everyone else to arrive. “Alright, boys, let's get this going,”said Coach Jackson. “Everyone line up and I will announce the two teams. Then we can split up and practice as teams.” Timmy just waits for his name to be called, and finally it did. “Timmy Polanco,” announced Coach Jackson, “developmental team.” Timmy was struck at the news. How could he have not made competitive? He had practiced so hard. Throughout practice and until the first game, Timmy was pretty much a downer.
