In theory has the branches of government set up under the thought of checks and balances. This is so the one branch does not overrule another one. In the United States we divide the government branches into three individual branches. Within the three branches we have the executive branch. It all started after the Constitution was made, in 1789 in which the Executive branch was created under the Constitution. Ever since the beginning, the President of the United States is the active head of the branch. The President is responsible for many things throughout the branch. Though, the President has the right to fulfill the duties however he pleases. Included in his responsibilities he must appoint federal commissions and executives agencies. As well as, promoting diplomacy with other nations, signing international treaties, issuing executive orders, signing pardons and presenting a State of the Union address to Congress. Alongside him is the Vice President which is said to be the second in command. This job does not exclude the general job, that is if something were to go wrong the President the Vice President is the main leader to step up. The cabinet is a body that is made up of fifteen executive members. There roles includes alerting the President on any subject he may need to know of in relation to the duties of each member's respective office. A part of the roles that compose the branch is the independent agencies. The agencies are the only ones whose role is to report to the congress not the President. They make it so that the country's economy can run smoothly. The president's role was developed since the beginning. It was always know that he or she who ever were to take the white house is to fulfill the title of enforcing the laws created by congress. Before doing do it is important for the command in chief to make it their duty like every other president ever known to man to veto bill if they are not suitable to the country. Alongside the president’s role development the Vice President’s role has a nearly similar story. A Vice President has alway been one to be side by side to the president. As mentioned the Vice President since the start of the White House has always been known to take charge if the President were to be incapable of doing so. Both of these roles were developed with the country in mind. Having a Vice President to back up any orders done by the President to ensure the country's well being.
