What is Design Thinking?
From my understanding, design thinking is the process by which designers go through while coming up with a solution to a design process. Moreover, one can see it as a series of step designers go through to guide the creative process.

1. Stanford University held a boot camp: Design Thinking Boot Camp: From Insights to Innovation. This boot camp was held at The Hasso Plattner Institute of Design, and offered a three day immersive program that was specifically aimed for executives. It provide the opportunity o learn the concept of “design thinking”. Participatory design is one of the earliest forms of design lenses, or design related helpers. Participatory design is when designers actively involve their customers in their design processes, so that the outcome/ final product meets the needs of the customer. This form of lens also ensures that the customer knows what’s happening at every given moment, and can feel at ease that the final product will be what he/she envisioned. Design thinking can relate to this in many ways, for instance, the design thinking process happens while the participation of the client with the designer is happening. So as the client and designer (participatory) are going over the series of ideas pertaining the end result (design thinking), they will eventually come to the end …show more content…

They have a succession of well-designed and innovative products; form the iMac to the Apple Watch. Apple as a company has built an empire of partnerships, retail outlet, services, etc. In doing so, they have become the most profitable company in history (EIU, 2015).
