Recommended: Major Causes of Homelessness

Imagine yourself, alone, sitting there, in a random spot in the park. Cold because there are no blankets, and starving because the last time you ate was days ago. Sitting there with nothing but the clothes on your back, and a shopping cart with the little belongings you have inside. A fever burning you inside, and rain pouring down your face because there is no roof over your head. And a dream, a dream of a house with a shower, a stove, a fridge, and a roof. It doesn’t matter the size, you think, so long as it protects and stays warm. Many people around the world face these problems and more because of homelessness. They are left to fend for themselves, fighting to survive. Homelessness often forces people into a great depression, a life
This teaches researchers about the root of the problem, which can lead to a solution. According to “Salvation Army: Why are people homeless” Stability in a household, not just a roof over your head. This means that a household must provide basic shelter, like a place to rest, somewhere to eat, and protection from harsh environments, but a household is not a home. A home is what provides the stability, it offers peace of mind, comfort, family, and when you take this away it creates a feeling of desertion leaves a person with nothing, no family, no peace of mind, and no comfort, this is instability, so while a household provides shelter and nothing more, a home provides mental emotional and physical
