All summer in a day teaches us that taking the anger from your jealousy is is not very fun

when the guilt comes back to get you. Ray Bradbury has written a very interesting story that

could resemble many different themes. I chose guilt because these nine year olds have many

emotions but this is one that shows a lot in the story.

There are a few different situations where these nine year olds show guilt. One of them is

when the kids walk in from playing in the sun and they remember that they locked Margot in the

closet. You could tell by the dialogue that the kids were frozen with fear and guilt. Some people might think ,for some reason that the children were relieved that margot

was in the closet. The kids did hate her a lot because she had seen the sun and they were jealous …show more content…

Margot wrote the best poem and they also hated her for that. People might think that those

are the reasons for being relieved that they locked her in the closet. Another reason i believe that the children were filled with guilt is that they were scared to open the door that she was locked behind. When they did they also opened it very slowly.
If these children were happy that they locked her in there they would have opened it faster and would not have been scared to do
