Next, Kid Cudi has a song on his 2010 called, “Marijuana” (Cudi). Unsurprisingly, this song focuses not only using the illegal drug but the drug itself. Although a lot of people would say the extreme amount of profanity in G-Eazy’s music would make him the worst influence, G-Eazy does not have crime or drug references within his songs. However, WIz Khalifa has a plethora of crime/ drug references in his songs. In his song, “Young, WIld & Free, he references drugs frequently. An example of this is, “Roll one, smoke one, and we all just having fun, so we just, roll one, smoke one.” In this quote, Khalifa is, of course, referring to marijuana and smoking it. He claims that is just “fun” which glorifies the drug even further. Many say that G-Eazy would also, be the worst influence due to the common theme of sex and sexual comments towards women. But Wiz Khalifa has an equivalent amount of sexual themes as well as drug themes. Khalifa on his 2009 song called “Hello Kitty (On the Pill)” raps the lyrics, “she in love with tha d, never give it to her raw” (Khalifa). These vulgar lyrics are very to the point. He refers to his genitals as “tha d” and says that his women is in love with it. Khalifa has many lyrics similar to these making the treatment of women as objects a very common theme in his music. Finally, some would say the Kid Cudi would be the worst influence on audience due to profanity especially concerning racial slurs such as the “N” word.
